Wall Mounting Services in Boulder County, Colorado

Clean Mounting Solutions for Your Appliances and Accessories

If you want a TV, shelf, mirror, or other item mounted securely and level, I can help.

I'm Philip, owner of Handyman Philip. I'm fully insured and handle every job personally. Wall mounting looks straightforward until something goes wrong - a shelf that pulls out of the wall, a TV that's not quite level, anchors that weren't rated for the weight. I assess before I drill. I find studs, identify wall material, confirm the hardware is appropriate for the job, and make sure everything is level before anything goes in permanently. No guessing.

Wall Mounting Services I Provide

  • TV mounting (all sizes, fixed and articulating mounts)

  • Floating shelf installation

  • Mirror mounting

  • Artwork and large frame hanging

  • Curtain rod and blind installation

  • Towel bar and bathroom accessory mounting

  • Cabinet and shelving unit wall anchoring

  • Picture rail installation

Why Choose Handyman Philip for Wall Mounting?

  • Stud-finding and proper anchoring - Nothing goes up until I know it's going into something solid.

  • Level every time - I use a level, not my eye.

  • Wall-type aware - Drywall, plaster, concrete, and masonry all mount differently, and I work with each correctly.

  • Damage-conscious - I minimize holes and protect your finishes throughout.

  • Fully insured - You're covered.

What to Have Ready Before I Arrive

Having a few things figured out in advance makes the job smoother:

  • TV size and weight - This determines the mount type and stud requirements.

  • Preferred height and position - I'm happy to advise, but having a rough idea saves time.

  • The mount itself - If you've purchased one, great. If not, I can advise on what to buy before the visit.

  • Wall type if you know it - Drywall, plaster, concrete, brick. If you don't know, I'll figure it out on-site.

About In-Wall Wire Concealment

I don't conceal wires inside walls. Running cables through walls requires permits and a licensed electrician in Colorado - it's not something I take on. If you want a fully concealed installation, I can recommend an electrician for that part of the job, and handle the mounting itself. A cord cover (surface-mounted raceway) is a clean alternative that I can install without the permitting requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you help me figure out the best placement before drilling?

Yes. I'll hold the mount or shelf in position and we can make sure you're happy with the placement before anything goes into the wall. It's worth taking a few minutes to get right.

What if I haven't bought a mount yet?

I can advise on what to get based on your TV size and wall type before the visit. Just reach out with the details.

Can you mount a TV above a fireplace?

Yes, I can mount it physically. Whether you should mount a TV above a fireplace is a different question - heat rises, and it's harder on the TV. I'll share my honest opinion if you ask, but the choice is yours.

Do you mount things on concrete or brick walls?

Yes. Concrete and masonry require different hardware and technique - masonry anchors, a hammer drill - but it's well within scope.

What's the difference between a fixed and articulating mount?

Fixed mounts hold the TV flat against the wall. Articulating (also called full-motion) mounts allow the TV to tilt and swivel. Articulating mounts are heavier and require more robust anchoring. I'll make sure whatever type you choose is installed correctly for its weight and range of motion.
